Structure of the Summer School

The purpose of this summer school is to train young postdocs and PhD-students in recent advances in matrix computation and iterative methods. Each day there will be six hours of classes, consisting of a mix of lectures and theoretical/practical classes. Students are encouraged to engage in the activities of the school by either giving an oral presentation (of approximately 15 minutes) or bringing a poster to present at one of the poster sessions. This additional activity is not mandatory for participants in the summer school, but it is strongly recommended.

Abstracts

Abstracts (of a maximum 1 page) are required from all participants wishing to present a talk at the summer school. Abstracts have to be sent via e-mail immc02@rsu.ru.

The deadline date for submission of a contributed abstract is May 5, 2002.

Notification of acceptance will be sent around May 5, 2002.

Programme Book

All participants will be given the IMMC02 Programme Book at registration. The Programme Book will show in detail the dates, times and locations of all the events. It will also contain abstracts of the plenary lectures. All of this information will be available on the Summer School web site prior to the meeting.

Summer School Proceedings

The Proceedings of the Summer School will be published after the Summer School. Only presented at the Summer School and passed referee's selection papers will be included into Proceedings Book.

People wishing to present a paper in a field related to the Summer School topics are invited either to submit electronic version of the paper (only in English) in LaTeX format by e-mail immc02@rsu.ru or bring it with to the Summer School on a PC-compatible diskette to handle it in directly to the Summer School Organizing Committee.
